Impact of NHS digitisation investigated
The impact of the digitisation of health information on patients, staff and managers across the NHS has been investigated.
A survey of 200 patients and their representatives, clinicians and other healthcare professionals focused on the perceptions of digital libraries and new technologies that are now used for patient information, patient booking and patient record systems. (more…)
CBI calls for qualifications to recognise training at work
A system which allows employers to award qualifications after giving in-house training is being called for by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
The system would help to ensure that training which goes on at work in the UK is recognised. (more…)
Firebuy CEO appointed
Communities and Local Government has announced the appointment of a chief executive officer for Firebuy Limited.
The non-departmental public body, which procures equipment nationally for the Fire and Rescue Service, will be headed by Terry Brewer. (more…)
Buckingham council to campaign for better funding
Buckinghamshire county council has announced that it plans to campaign for better funding over the coming months.
The authority’s plans are to be laid out at a council meeting next week, when it will reveal the full extent of the monetary burden that has recently been placed upon it. (more…)
Government ensures 475,000 civil servants are trained up
Central government leaders have made a new commitment to ensure that over 475,000 civil servants are in possession of basic skills and a level two qualification.
A total of 19 government departments have pledged to help eligible public sector workers achieve the goal. (more…)
