E-recruitment can help “most suitable candidates progress”
Screening job applications online can prove useful to those looking to make best use of employment tracking, it has been suggested.
According to Jeremy Pemberton-Pigott, director of ASE, a wide number of recruiters are using e-recruitment techniques to judge an applicant’s suitability for a position as they can help managers select attractive candidates with more ease.
By getting applicants to complete forms online, he stated that managers will be able to get a better idea of their personality traits, suitability for certain roles and their ability to function in the workplace, news which could be factored in by those working within the public sector looking to make use of e-recruitment solutions.
He told Online Recruitment: "By pre-screening online, organisations can ensure that only the most suitable candidates progress through the selection stages and that hiring managers’ interview time is focused only on the best candidates."
Meanwhile, Jason Pierce, managing director of Skillsarena, reported that evermore candidates are set to apply for jobs online.
