Widespread job advertising ‘can open up talent pools’
Organisations looking to attract the best job applicants possible need to advertise through a variety of media, an industry expert has suggested.
Anne Fairweather, head of public policy for the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, has stated that companies - including those working in the public sector - should display vacancies in as many methods as possible.
And in doing so, she suggested that in making use of as many recruitment systems as possible, organisations could be able to access premium candidates from talent pools.
She said: "I think it’s about having a wider talent pool at the end of the day.
"And I think most people recognise that you need to advertise quite widely in order to attract from the widest talent pool."
Earlier this month, a study carried out by Milkround.com revealed that the majority of graduates and students are looking for jobs via the internet, news which could be beneficial to those in the third sector considering the use of online recruitment systems.
