Widespread job advertising ‘can open up talent pools’
Organisations looking to attract the best job applicants possible need to advertise through a variety of media, an industry expert has suggested.
Anne Fairweather, head of public policy for the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, has stated that companies - including those working in the public sector - should display vacancies in as many methods as possible. (more…)
Voluntary bodies ‘need to consider diversity’
Voluntary and community organisations need to review the proportion of people from minority backgrounds sitting on their boards, a new report shows.
According to a study by the Governance Hub, bodies operating in the third sector may lack full representations of people with disabilities, women and those from black and minority ethnic backgrounds on boards. (more…)

Those looking to attract graduate job applicants could be well advised to make use of online recruitment systems, a new study indicates.
The news comes as research carried out by Milkround.com reveals that some 83 per cent of students and graduates make use of recruitment websites when searching for jobs. (more…)
