‘More groundwork needed on age equality’

With age discrimination having been made unlawful a year ago this week, the Employers Forum on Age (EFA) has published research indicating widespread familiarity with the legislation.

According to the group, its research shows that almost nine in ten (86 per cent) of British workers are aware that it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of age. (more…)

Umbrella groups look for public sector feedback on best practice proposals

Two umbrella organisations are looking for feedback from those working in the public sector in regards to the initial draft of publications setting out standards of best practice in procurement skills.

In news which may interest those with network partners in the public sector, Acevo and the Development Trust Association are collaborating on proposals which will also cover best practice during negotiation and VAT issues when working in partnership, reports the Third Sector. (more…)
