Northern England charities set for ‘transformation’
Those working in the charity sector could be on track to receive greater financial guidance, it has emerged.
The news comes as the recently launched Charity Bank in the North is set to offer voluntary organisations and charities a range of financial products, for instance loans and seed-corn equity, reports the Third Sector. (more…)
Local authorities asked to provide Comprehensive Spending Review feedback
The Comprehensive Spending Review and moves to reduce the number of national indicators local authorities have to work towards could help public sector bodies provide more effective services, it has been suggested.
Following the launch of a consultation on technical definitions of the national indicators, local government minister John Healey reported that the decision to lower the figure from 1,200 to 198 can only be of benefit to those working in the public sector. (more…)
New public sector standards launched
A new set of standards targeted at those operating in the public sector have been launched today, it has emerged.
The documentation is designed to help officials improve the quality of data that they use to manage and report their activities, news which may be of interest to those working in the public sector looking to make the best use of talent management. (more…)
North Dorset council praised for work with network partners
North Dorset district council is ever improving its services, it has been claimed.
The announcement comes as the local authority’s comprehensive performance assessment was rated as good in a recent assessment by the Audit Commission. (more…)
Community groups receive energy saving advice
Community groups are set to receive free guidance on how to set up projects which will help to tackle climate change and save energy.
