Audit Commission to make CPA changes
The Audit Commission has announced that it is to make changes to the framework of the final Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA).
According to the commission, proposals to modify service assessments for housing, environment and culture are only "minor".

Pension schemes ‘can help third sector retain staff’
Educating staff about pension schemes and employee benefit packages could help those working in the third sector with talent management, new research shows.
According to findings from Foster Denovo and the Association of Chief Executives for Voluntary Organisations (acevo), just one in four third sector leaders report that more than 80 per cent of their workforce are members of their pension offer.

Staff surveys can offer “significant boost” in workplace
An effective staff questionnaire could help charities get a good understanding of the views of those working for the voluntary sector, it has been suggested.
In a guide published by consultancy firm Birdsong, it was put forward that such surveys offer the chance for charities to identify which areas they are performing strongly in and if there any areas where they can improve, the Third Sector reports.

Age discrimination is ‘prominent in workplace’
Age discrimination is on track to become the most prevalent form of discrimination in the workplace, a new study shows.
In research carried out by Croner, 11 per cent of people surveyed believe that they have been discriminated again because of their age.

Sustainability ‘can help boost public sector’s credibility’
Those working for the public sector need to do more to show they are taking sustainability seriously, new research shows.
In a study by BT, 19 per cent of those questioned believe that the sector is focusing the most on being environmentally and socially responsible.
