Charities invited to health forum
Those working for charities and voluntary organisations are being invited to take part in a discussion regarding health and social care, it has emerged.
Today (February 7th) will see a meeting take place at Lambeth town hall, held by the Health and Social Care Voluntary and Community Sector Forum, which aims to share resources and good practice methods.

Financially independent charities ‘likely to impress’
Charities which are financially independent are the most likely to impress MPs, new research shows.
In a study carried out by nfpSynergy, those working for third sector bodies with large proportions of voluntary income have the greatest impact.

Yorkshire community groups invited to apply for grants
Community groups in the South Yorkshire region are invited to apply for funds to help maintain their services, it has emerged.
As part of the Under A Better Community programme, those working for such public sector organisations in Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley are being given the chance to get a £2,000 grant.

Third sector groups invited to join funding scheme
Those working for local organisations within the third sector are being invited to apply to become a partner in a multimillion pound grants programme.
Launched by the Community Development Foundation, the Grassroots Grants initiative help community and voluntary groups to become a local funder which will see them provide grants to smaller bodies within their region.
Third sector leaders invited to give their views
Leaders operating within the third sector are being asked for their opinions on the industry, it has emerged.
In a new survey, the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) is inviting such Britons, which includes directors, trustees and chief executives, to give their views on the prospects of the organisations they work for and what challenges they will face.
