Leicester charities invited to funding session
Those working for charities in Leicester are being invited to attend a free advice day, it has been emerged.
Later this month, Futurebuilders England will provide one-on-one training to voluntary and community groups on how to apply successfully for funding.
Over the course of the day, charity workers will take part in workshops on effective methods of application and hear case studies about making grant bids.
The sessions take place on March 18th.
Marianne Patterson, senior outreach officer for Futurebuilders England, said: "Feedback from attendees has shown that organisations really value the opportunity to sit down face-to-face with a member of staff to discuss their proposal prior to submitting an application."
She pointed to research by the institution which revealed that about 90 per cent of organisations which have been given pre-application support are shortlisted to receive investment.
Upon receiving investment, it is possible that such third sector groups may be able to improve the skills framework of their staff.
Last week it was revealed that Lloyds TSB is issue a funding boost of some £37.1 million to
grassroots charities operating across Britain.
