CapacityBuilders reveals funding change

Posted in News on the March 6th, 2008

The CapacityBuilders organisation has announced changes to its funding system and structure, it has emerged.

Under the terms of its restructuring plans, CapacityBuilders is to establish nine National Support Service work-streams that it hopes will provide charitable groups with a worthwhile resource.

Currently, the organisation operates via six national hubs, but from early next month and for the next three years at least CapacityBuilders funds will be administered through the system, which will themselves be support by a national programme of development.

Such an announcement may help to boost the sustainable efficiencies of those working for third sector groups across the UK.

"This national investment aims to ’support the supporters’," a statement from the organisation explained.

"CapacityBuilders exists to help create a more effective third sector, increasing its ability to create a better quality of life for individuals and communities."

Last month, it was announced that the National Council for Voluntary Organisations is to receive a total of around £112,000 from CapacityBuilders to support its efforts to aid people working in the UK’s charity sector.

More about sustainable efficiencies.
