Charities feature on most useful web list
Those working for charities have featured on a list of the most useful websites, it has been revealed.
A guide published by the Daily Telegraph revealed that of the 101 recommended online portals five of those to make the chart were charitable organisations.
Heading the list of voluntary and community groups was Theyworkforyou - a political monitoring website which is operated by charity UK Citizens Online Democracy and came in at 41.
TimeBank and Citizens Advice also made the list, in news that might interest charities wishing to maintain sustainable efficiencies.
A spokesperson for TimeBank told ThirdSector.co.uk: "It’s good to see that charities are using innovative ways of getting their message across."
Meanwhile, the Royal Horticultural Society and Age Concern were ranked in 55th and 59th place respectively.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Google was ranked as the most useful website, with the likes of eBay, Facebook and Money Saving Expert also among those praised.
In related news, Cass School’s Centre for Charity Effectiveness recently launched a new website - e-Learning Net - aimed at improving learning resources for voluntary groups and charities.
More about sustainable efficiencies.
