Social enterprises ’should explore new partnerships’
Those working for social enterprises looking to expand their services should ‘think outside of the box’ when it comes to forming links with prospective network partners, it has been suggested.
Speaking at Social Enterprise London’s Connecting London conference, Allison Ogden-Newton, chief executive of the organisation, said: "If social enterprises are to achieve size and scale, they are going to have to explore new partnerships and think outside the box."

Scottish charities to receive funding
A multimillion pound investment is to be made into those working for third sector groups in Scotland, it has emerged.
In an announcement by the region’s government, it was revealed that an investment fund is to be created to help charities become financially sustainable and assist them in attempts to increase turnover.

Local authorities ‘improving council tax collection’
Those working for local councils are making better use of their finances, it has been reported.
According to John Healey, local government minister, authorities have continued to improve the amount of council tax collected for the eighth year in a row.

New community funding announced for Wales
A multimillion pound fund has been unveiled for those working for community and voluntary projects within Wales, it has emerged.
The Welsh Assembly government’s Communities First initiative will allow community groups to apply for money to help improve their local area.

Phil Hope unveils social enterprise support fund
A multimillion pound investment has been announced for those working with social enterprises, it has been revealed.
Speaking at CapacityBuilders annual conference, Phil Hope, minister of the third sector, announced a fund for organisations offering support for social enterprises.
