Third sector to receive performance management software

Posted in News on the July 30th, 2008

A new piece of software is being developed specifically for those working for charities, it has emerged.

Worked on by COA Solutions the program aims to help third sector organisations to calculate whether they are meeting various targets.

Originally the software had been used by nursing homes to assess areas such as bed occupancy rates and staff absence levels, now it is to be adopted by a wider range of voluntary and charitable organisations, ThirdSector.co.uk reports.

Grahame Marsden, not-for-profit manager for COA Solutions, said: "The system offers an instant graphical display of a range of indicators.

"Directors can press a single button and bring up a range of indicators and predictions."

He added the software could be used by charities to see how they are meeting delivery targets for any public service contracts that they have.

It could be possible that being able to analyse performance indicators can help third sector bodies to maintain sustainable efficiencies.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that the Institute of Fundraising has a launched a new website offering those in the third sector guidance on fundraising legislation and best practice.

More about sustainable efficiencies.
