Financial assistance made available for youth crime charities
New funding has been unveiled for those working for third sector bodies tackling youth crime.
In the second wave of the Youth Sector Development Fund, charities are being invited to apply for grants to assist them in their attempts to cut down on levels of reoffending and law-breaking by young people, ThirdSector.co.uk reports.

Charities invited to apply for funding
Those working for charities and voluntary groups have been invited to apply for funding in which to target those from socially-excluded sectors of communities, it has been revealed.
In an initiative by GoldStar, third sector organisations which work with people from ethnic minority backgrounds, those with disabilities or the unemployed are being offered the chance to hold practice sharing events with other groups about working with Britons at risk of social exclusion.

Councils to show support for economic prosperity
A total of seven groups of councils and local network partners are to seal their commitment to boosting economic prosperity today, it has been reported.
In moves to recognise the fact that they can achieve more than the sum of their parts, the bodies will sign the first set of Multi-Area Agreements (MAAs), in news that may interest those working in the public sector.

Healthy food scheme unveiled for public sector
Those working in the public sector are to be the target for a healthy eating initiative, it has been revealed.
In the government’s recently released Food Matters initiative, it was indicated that the public sector should lead the way when providing nutritious meals in the workplace.

Trustees given risk management guidance
Those working for charities have been issued with guidance on risk management, it has been revealed.
In a free publication released by auditors Sayer Vincent and social banking firm Triodos, trustees were given advice on the taking on and the management of risk, ThirdSector.co.uk reported.
